Quick Chocolate Muffins

A fuss-free recipe for delicious, buttery muffins with a touch of chocolate. Perfect for when you’re short on time but craving a homemade treat!

Ingredients:

  • 120 g butter (melted)
  • 300 g flour (all-purpose)
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 120 ml milk (room temperature)
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1 pinch of baking powder (about 2 tsp)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 g chocolate (chopped into small pieces or use chips)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Chocolate:

  • Break the chocolate into small pieces if you’re not using pre-made chocolate chips. Set aside.

2. Mix the Batter:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla sugar. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the muffins dense.

3. Add to Muffin Cups:

  • Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease the tin well. Fill each cup about 3/4 full with the batter.

4. Add the Chocolate:

  • Gently press a few pieces of chocolate or chocolate chips into the top of each muffin.

5. Bake:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the muffins for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool slightly in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.

Tips for Perfect Muffins:

  • Add-ons: Feel free to include nuts, dried fruit, or even a pinch of cinnamon for variety.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer freshness.
  • Serve warm: Warm the muffins slightly before serving to make the chocolate gooey and irresistible.

Enjoy these quick and delightful muffins with a cup of coffee, tea, or milk!
