Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Tonic

Ingredients
​Lemons: 2 fresh lemons (juiced, plus a slice for garnish)
​Ginger: 1 to 2-inch piece of fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced)
​Parsley: A small handful of fresh parsley leaves
​Turmeric: \frac{1}{2} teaspoon of ground turmeric (or a small piece of fresh turmeric root)
​Healthy Fat / Sweetener: 1 teaspoon of olive oil or raw honey (to help absorb the fat-soluble curcumin in turmeric)
​Water: 1 to 2 cups of filtered water (depending on your preferred thickness)
​Instructions
​Prep the Ingredients: Wash the parsley and ginger thoroughly. Slice the ginger and squeeze the juice from the lemons.
​Blend: Place the lemon juice, ginger, parsley, turmeric, olive oil (or honey), and water into a high-speed blender.
​Process: Blend on high for 1 to 2 minutes until completely smooth.
​Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smooth, juice-like consistency rather than a textured smoothie, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a glass jar.
​Serve: Enjoy cold or at room temperature.
