Authentic Aloe Vera & Cinnamon Tonic

Ingredients
​2 tablespoons of fresh, pure aloe vera gel (scooped carefully from a washed aloe leaf; ensure the yellow sap, or aloin, is completely rinsed off as it can cause stomach upset)
​1 small cinnamon stick (or 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon)
​1.5 cups of water
​1 teaspoon of honey (optional, to balance the flavors)
​Instructions
​Infuse the Cinnamon: In a small pot, bring the water and the cinnamon stick to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes to release the aromatic compounds. Let it cool completely.
​Prep the Aloe: Slice open a fresh aloe vera leaf, scoop out the clear gel, and rinse it thoroughly under cold running water to remove any bitter residue.
​Blend: Pour the cooled cinnamon water (remove the stick if using a standard blender) and the fresh aloe gel into a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and slightly frothy.
​Serve: Pour into a glass over ice, stir in a touch of honey if you like, and enjoy it on an empty stomach in the morning.
